Hades has been praised for doing so many things right. It isn’t a game that nailed just the gameplay mechanics, creating a fun experience, or one that has an amazing story paired with somewhat repetitive and uninspiring gameplay; instead, it does everything. Likewise, its art direction, sound design, and narrative style all compliment one another so well that few would decry its nomination. What makes this so surprising is that it landed its spot despite all the other top tier games that released this year, placing itself among the greats like Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Ghost of Tsushima....

As the manga continues, even future captains Ennoshita and Tadashi show their own leadership styles to guide their own respective teams. The images taken on Bribie Island to the north of Moreton Bay, Queensland, in Australia’s northeast, were shared on Facebook by the G’Day Adventure Tours agency on Monday. The company wrote: “Crazy seeing this on the beach today! Something big has had a nice feed on it.” G’Day tours, which is based in Queensland, said the photos were captured on the top end of the island. Ukraine relies on western military support in its fight but it can also count on the contribution made by its aggressor, with repurposed captured Russian equipment comprising a large proportion of Ukraine’s military hardware, according to the U.K. Ministry of Defense. The ministry said on Friday that Ukraine had likely captured at least 440 Russian main battle tanks (MBTs), and around 650 other armored vehicles since the start of the invasion on February 24....

Jaclyn Piscitelli alleged in the lawsuit filed Wednesday that Calhoun and other officials created a “male-dominated, hostile work environment," including making crude comments about her appearance and violating Title IX (the federal law put into place to give women and girls equal opportunities in education, including athletics), according to USA Today. Piscitelli claims Calhoun called her “hot” and asked her to do menial assignments. The lawsuit states (per The Associated Press): “There was an instance in which Calhoun knocked a number of single-serve coffee ‘K-cups’ onto the floor and stepped on them, creating a mess of coffee grounds and packaging on the floor and made plaintiff clean them up, stating that if he made such a mess at home, his wife would clean up after him....

While the game does a terrific job of highlighting every character’s pain, the way in which Rocket’s time on Halfworld is handled is worthy of some extra praise. While Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will hopefully peel back the curtain on the MCU version’s past, it will be interesting to see if the storytelling seen in the game can be topped, as Eidos Montreal explains the root cause of Rocket’s rage perfectly....

Gujarat Giants have reinstated former PKL winning captain Manpreet Singh as their head coach for PKL 8. Ahead of PKL 2021, the Gujarat Giants retained two players from the Elite Retained Players (ERP) and three from the Retained Young Players (RYP) list. They have paid a total of ₹4.06 crores to sign 16 players for PKL Season 8. The “Mamalitia” has grown out of a group known as the Freedom Angels, which attempted to block student vaccinations at the California state capitol in 2019. Last year, amid COVID-19 lockdowns and restrictions, the group participated in demonstrations outside the homes of local public health officials and at the state capitol. State Senator Richard Pan, a Democrat, raised concerns that the group’s efforts will discourage people from getting the safe and effective COVID-19 vaccines....

Sunderland Football Club have announced Gustavo Poyet as their new head coach. The 45-year-old has agreed to a two-year contract and will take charge at the club with immediate effect. Poyet began his coaching career in England at Swindon Town in 2006 before moving on to Leeds United as an assistant coach. He then returned to his former club, Tottenham Hotspur as First Team Coach before becoming Assistant Manager to Juande Ramos....
