Gurley touched the football just 11 times as the Rams slumped to 13-3 defeat in the lowest-scoring Super Bowl in NFL history.

That led many to wonder if the Rams star running back was struggling with an injury, having hurt his knee in Week 15.

However, Gurley was one of the first Rams players to speak to the media after the defeat, and he put those theories to rest.

“I know there’s been a lot of concern about my knee but I really am fine,” Gurley said. “We let each other down.”

Gurley added that he did get an MRI on his knee after he injuring it against the Philadelphia Eagles in December, but said there was no significant damage.

“I kind of had a break low-key for the last two months,” Gurley said. “So, it’s cool. We’ll do the physicals and all that stuff [on Monday].”

Gurley led the Rams with 35 yards on his 10 rushing attempts. His only catch resulted in one-yard loss.

The Rams announced before the game Gurley would be splitting time with C.J. Anderson, who rushed for 22 yards on seven tries.
