Halep plans to go solo for at least a few months after long-time coach Darren Cahill took a year-long hiatus for family reasons. The world number one will start her 2019 campaign at the Sydney International after recovering from a back injury and says she is happy to go it alone - for the time being at least. “The situation is that for the next three to four months, I don’t want to take the coach,” Halep told WTA Insider....

Assuming that Mortal Kombat 12 is in development at NetherRealm Studios, coming up with new characters that haven’t appeared in previous games might be difficult. But going off of NRS’ past inclusions, there are a few plausible guest characters that would be surprising, but also help add variety to the game’s roster....

Guillermo Del Toro Guillermo del Toro has recently received some of the best reviews of his career for his stop-motion animated version of Pinocchio, co-directed with Mark Gustafson. As expected, del Toro has pumped all the eerie, macabre creepiness of the source material back into the story after the Disney adaptations removed those elements. Instead of shying away from the darkness, del Toro embraces it. After the bitter disappointment of Disney’s bland live-action remake of their own animated Pinocchio, del Toro’s version has arrived as a breath of fresh air....

It is not uncommon for video games to be delayed when an initial release date looks a little too good to be true. Video game production is labor-intensive, and with games becoming more complex, hiccups along the way often lead to delays. As an example, Far Cry 6 is in delay purgatory, pushed back from a March release to sometime in September or perhaps even further. Guilty Gear Strive’s situation is tied to findings from its open beta, and wanting to address the player feedback....
